At Children of Grace, we believe that true transformation happens through relationship, through the daily investment of mentors who listen, encourage, and guide each child toward their God-given potential. Our mentorship program lies at the heart of everything we do, ensuring that every student in our care is not just supported academically but seen, known, and loved. Mentorship is what sets Children of Grace apart from all other child sponsorship organizations and what empowers us to raise leaders who impact their world.
This quarter, we’re proud to recognize Sharifah Ndikuwa, our Employee of the Quarter, whose commitment to mentorship beautifully embodies this mission.
The Power of Mentorship
Mentorship at Children of Grace goes far beyond check-ins or classroom visits. Each mentor becomes a trusted guide — helping students navigate challenges at home and school, providing emotional and spiritual encouragement, and linking families with the resources they need to thrive.
Through consistent engagement, mentors ensure that every child remains connected to school, healthy in body and mind, and confident in their worth. Our mentors not only support academic progress, but also nurture faith, life skills, and purpose — the building blocks of a transformed future.
Sharifah’s Story of Service
Throughout this past quarter, Sharifah Ndikuwa has exemplified excellence in every part of her work.
As a mentor, she carried out:
43 home re-assessments and 32 home visits
102 one-on-one sessions with students
50 school visits and 21 child case follow-ups (SOAPs)
And she led our Term 2 Holiday Bible Study Program, engaging students in faith-based learning and community building.
Sharifah’s leadership doesn’t stop there, she uplifts her fellow mentors, models humility and teamwork, and radiates joy in every task.
As Sharifah beautifully shared:
“Being part of Children of Grace is a blessing — every child’s smile reminds me why I do what I do.”
Celebrating Excellence
We celebrate Sharifah not only for her remarkable achievements, but for the spirit she brings to her work, one that mirrors the heart of Jesus in service and care. And we celebrate every mentor who, day after day, shows up for our students with that same unwavering love and faithfulness.
Because at Children of Grace, mentorship is more than a program — it’s the foundation of transformation.
