What We Believe
Grace, given first.
Children of Grace is rooted in the Christian faith. We believe every child was made on purpose, for a purpose, in the image of the God who made them.
Grace is love given before it’s earned, and that’s how we try to care for every child we walk with.
Our faith is why we serve. It’s never a condition of our care.
What We Value
-
Inherent dignity. Every child carries a worth no circumstance can take away. Our job is to open doors, not to rescue.
-
We don’t settle for enough. Surviving was never the goal. Every child deserves the chance to thrive, and that’s the standard we hold ourselves to.
-
Faithful consistency. One good year isn’t the measure. We care for the whole child over the long term, and we measure what lasts.
-
Local is the point. We’re rooted in one region, and most of our team in Uganda calls it home.
-
Trust earned, not assumed. Our finances are carefully audited and our outcomes intentionally measured. When something isn’t working, we own it and work to make it right.

How We Tell Stories
Every story here is shared with permission.
The people on this site aren’t content. Their stories are loaned to us, and we take that seriously.
We tell each one in the person’s own words, with their yes, and with their safety first.
Our Commitments
-
Consent comes first. Every person says yes before we share. For children, that means a guardian’s consent and the child’s own yes, and we ask again at 18 and before resharing older stories.
-
Their words. Their credit. We quote only what people actually said. The growth is God’s, the work is theirs, and no one is cast as the rescuer.
-
Dignity in every frame. Real photos, taken with permission, and no “sad eyes.” We tell the whole person, never just the hardest chapter.
-
Safety before story. We never share where a child can be found, like their school, home, or clinic. Some stories stay private, because safety matters more than the telling.
