What happens after sponsorship ends?
For Nyeetera Sandra, the answer looks like entrepreneurship, responsibility, and the confidence to keep building. Sandra spent nearly a decade with Children of Grace, from 2010 to 2019.
Today, when asked to describe herself, one identity rises quickly to the surface: Businesswoman.
Sandra has built her own juice business and bakery, including selling baking ingredients and supplies. She describes herself as passionate about business, self-employment, and creating new things. Of everything she has accomplished, building her business is what makes her especially proud.
But the business itself is only part of the story.
Sandra represents what can happen when a young person is given years of opportunity, encouragement, mentorship, and room to discover what she is capable of.
Learning Skills That Last Beyond the Classroom
When Sandra looks back on her years with Children of Grace, some of the lessons she remembers most aren't tied to a particular subject or exam.
She remembers learning communication skills and how to work with different kinds of people.
Those are skills that matter everywhere, but especially when you're building a business.
Entrepreneurship requires more than knowing how to make a product. It means serving customers, building relationships, communicating your ideas, solving problems, taking initiative, and continuing forward when the outcome isn't guaranteed.
Sandra is putting those lessons into practice today.
She also remembers the people who walked alongside her. When asked who encouraged or inspired her most during her journey, Sandra named her mother and her Children of Grace mentor, Uncle Zack.
That combination of family support and consistent mentorship is at the heart of what Children of Grace has always believed: education matters deeply, but children also need people who see their potential and help them learn to see it for themselves.
Success That Reaches Beyond Sandra
Sandra is the firstborn in her family. Today, as she builds her livelihood, she is also helping care for her younger brothers whenever she is able.

But the confidence to step into adulthood believing, I can build something. I can contribute. I can try.
Sandra has already taken that step. And she isn't finished.
Her dream is to continue growing a strong business centered around baking equipment, supplies, and related products.
Today, she describes herself simply as “a businesswoman.” We couldn't be prouder to see her claim that identity.
