Spanning 12.5 acres, this farmland grows essential crops that feed students, staff, and families facing food insecurity. The farm also supports the school’s financial health, ensuring its continued growth and impact.

The Farm Grounds and Their Role


The farm covers 12.5 acres of fertile land close to Jinja, a city known for its rich agricultural surroundings. The main crops grown here include:

Ismail’s Journey and Leadership


Ismail, the farm director, embodies the spirit of Children of Grace. He grew up in Northern Uganda, an area affected by conflict and hardship. As a young boy, Ismail joined the Children of Grace sponsorship program, which supported his education from primary school through university.


After graduating from Busitema Agricultural University, Ismail returned to the farm as a volunteer. His goal was clear: to use his agricultural knowledge to give back to the community that had supported him. Today, he manages the farm with dedication and expertise.


Ismail’s leadership has transformed the farm into a thriving program that provides thousands of meals each month. He understands the importance of reliable food access because he has lived through hunger. His vision for the farm is ambitious, aiming to expand its reach and impact.
