When Health Almost Ended His Education
Before joining Children of Grace, Joseph’s education was repeatedly interrupted.
Financial instability forced him into child labor. Long hours were spent working to afford basic school materials. Each term felt uncertain.
Then came a devastating challenge.
Joseph lost sight in one eye.
Medical costs quickly mounted. The risk was clear: his education might end entirely.

The Turning Point
When Joseph joined Children of Grace, support came from multiple directions.
He received:
Medical assessment and follow-up treatment
Financial stability for school
Ongoing mentorship
For the first time, he did not have to choose between health and education.
Though visually impaired, Joseph refused to see himself as limited.
Instead, he began to see his condition as part of his testimony — a story of resilience, not defeat.
A New Confidence
Today, Joseph has completed Primary Seven.
He walks forward with renewed determination — committed to going further than anyone in his family has before.
His vision may be altered, but his future is not diminished.
Why Integrated Medical Care Matters
Education cannot thrive without health.
At Children of Grace, medical care is integrated into our support model because:
Illness should not end opportunity.
Disability should not define potential.
Emergencies should not derail education permanently.
Through clinics, referrals, follow-ups, and consistent oversight, students remain in school and continue progressing.
Joseph’s story reminds us:Sometimes preserving a future begins with preserving health.
Help Remove Barriers to Education
