From Fragile Hope to Future Healer
For much of his childhood, higher education felt distant for Abonesa Timothy.
Raised by a single mother and facing significant financial hardship, the future often felt uncertain. There were seasons when hope was fragile — when school fees were difficult to manage and dreams felt too expensive to hold.
But in 2015, Timothy’s story began to change.
A Different Kind of Investment
When Timothy joined Children of Grace, he received access to education through sponsorship. But what shaped him most wasn’t only tuition support.
It was mentorship.
It was faith formation.
It was leadership development.
Through consistent relational investment, Timothy learned not only how to succeed academically — but how to lead with integrity, serve with humility, and believe that his life carried purpose beyond his present circumstances.
He began to see himself differently.
From Student to Future Pediatric Caregiver
Today, Timothy is completing Senior 6 at The Amazima School.
He carries a clear calling: To provide pediatric healthcare to children in Uganda.
The young man who once wondered whether he would finish school now envisions himself restoring health to the next generation.
That transformation did not happen by accident.
It happened because someone chose to invest in him holistically — education, spiritual development, character formation, and long-term mentorship.
